New Balance Numeric "440 Low" (black white gum)

The upper of this colourway (not the black colourway with the white sole, for example) does in fact seem to be synthetic but it's best to double check that this shoe is vegan before buying. I've seen a shoe in an online skate shop that's called "NB Numeric 440 Low "black" rather than "black/white/gum" but it looks like the same shoe. The description (which in online skate shops is often wrong) says it's made of (animal-source) suede and synthetic materials. I've seen the same info on websites of non-skate shops. And there's a photo on which you can see the "materials" sticker on one of the insoles (see below) which says that the upper is leather and textile - again, these stickers don't always have the correct information. With the "textile" symbol they seem ot be referring to the mesh. The German New Balance website als states that the material is suede and mesh but they name this colourway "NB Numeric 440 Synthetic", "black with white". The website of Escapist skate shop in the US calls this colourway "NEW BALANCE NUMERIC 440 BLACK/WHITE" and says the material is "Double layered synthetic suede upper for durability [...] Animal-friendly vegan materials". An online shop from Canada (Axis) calls the colourway "New Balance NB Numeric 440", "Black / White VEGAN". And an online shop from the UK (Welcome Leeds) states that the material is "Synthetic 'suede' toe box, eyestay and heel[,] Close knit mesh sidewalls[,] Synthetic 'leather' New Balance 'N' logo". Eyestay is the area that surrounds the eyelets (the holes for the laces).
