Anatomy of a vegan skate shoe

Emerica, Ed Templeton pro model (the first one). This shoe came out in 1998. Search for "Ed Templeton" here if you want to see an ad for these. All colourways of all the Ed Templeton pro model shoes have always been vegan.

Emerica, Ed Templeton (the first one), 1998 - same shoe as above

Emerica, Jamie Thomas pro model (the first one). These came out in 1997. Search for "Jamie Thomas" here if you want to see an ad for these. There were also non-vegan colourways of this shoe (black suede and white suede).

Reef, Laban Pheidas pro model. These came out in 1997 (December to be precise). Search for "Laban" here if you want to see an ad for these. There might have been no other colourways (I think there weren't).

DC, Clocker 3, 1997 - all colourways were vegan (I think - unlike the previous "Clocker" versions) ... This was interesting because it had a Cordura upper. Great shoe.

Vans, Era, 2003 or 2004 (these were bought at CIDE skate shop, just south of Waterloo station, London)

Vans, Era, around 1998 (very roughly). Back then Vans were still made in the United States maybe (?).

DVS, this shoe was called "stealth" (the name is not found inside the shoe), from around 1998 (this shoe came out in 1997, I think)

Emerica, I don't remember the name of the shoe (and the label inside of the shoe doesn't have the name on it); there was a shoe called "Heritic" [!] (in at least three versions), but I think, this one had a different name; around 1999 (very roughly)

Emerica, Ed Templeton (the second one), from around 2001 to 2003 - it came out in 2001.

Adio, Jamie Thomas pro model (the second one on Adio?), called "JT FIve-O" (I think) - from around 2000. It came out in 1999, apparently. The name of the shoe is not given inside the shoe.

Adio, Jamie Thomas (same as above).

Adio, Jamie Thomas ... another Jamie Thomas Adio pro model shoe from around 1999 or 2000.

Adio, Jamie Thomas ... This might have been the second Jamie Thomas pro model on Adio (not sure). Apparently, it was called "Version 2" (?) and came out in 1999.

Circa, a copy of a Jamie Thomas pro model (I think), called "CX205", from around 2004 (I'm guessing). This seems to be from when Jamie Thomas had already left Circa.

Circa, Jamie Thomas (around 2002) - this is NOT exactly the same as above (this was still a Jamie Thomas pro model - it say Thomas on the outsole near the heel).

Circa, Jamie Thomas pro model, called "JT204" - from 2003 apparently.

Ipath, not sure (around ... 2000s)

Ipath, called "Traveler", maybe a Kenny Reed shoe (around ... 2000s)

Osiris, a Jerry Hsu pro model (this shoe came out in 2002)

Vans, Geoff Rowley - the first Rowley pro model shoe on Vans, which came out in early 2000 (Rowley went to Vans in 1999). But this was a Mötörhead "colourway", and it was probably from around 2001.

Vans, Geoff Rowley Shams, not an official Rowley pro model shoe, but designed by Rowley, I think; from around 2003. This shoe had a very weird upper.

Vans, Geoff Rowley, called "Slims" (the third Rowley pro model on Vans?) ... from around 2005. They probably came out in 2004 or even 2003.

Vans, Geoff Rowley, Slims - same as above

Vans, Geoff Rowley, maybe the fifth (?) Rowley pro model on Vans, called "XL2" (XL for extralight) ... from around 2005. The "Rowley XL2" came out in 2001.

Vans, Geoff Rowley, XL2 - same as above

Vans, Geoff Rowley, XL2 - same as above

Vans, Geoff Rowley, called XLIII (as in XL3, as in extralight 3), maybe the sixth Rowley pro model on Vans (from around 2006 maybe).

Vans, Geoff Rowley, XLIII - same as above

Vans, Geoff Rowley, XLIII - same as above

Vans, Geoff Rowley pro model called "Squares". They came out in 2006.

Vans, Geoff Rowley, Squares - same as above.

Emerica, Kevin "Spanky" Long pro model called "KSL-DOS" ... from around 2007 (roughly)

Etnies, a shoe called "Kingpin" (I'm quite sure, there were non-vegan versions of this shoe too) ... from around late 2000s (2008 maybe).

éS, a shoe called "Avers". This one is a Rick McCrank pro model shoe or a McCrank colourway. Not all of the colourways were vegan (I think) ... from around 2007/2008. It says "McCrank" on the outside of the tongue. There was a problem with the glue (I think) with these shoes, and the soles fell of at the heel (after a while). This was shortly before éS went out of business (only to come back not much later).

éS, Avers, McCrank - same as above

éS, a shoe called "Square One". Not all of the colourways were vegan ... from around 2007/2008

éS, Square One - same as above

éS, Square one - same as above

éS, Square One - same as above

éS, a shoe called "Cessna". Not all of the colourways were vegan ... a collaboration with Habitat, and this appears to have been a Sila Baxter-Neal pro model. At least the insoles have his name on them ... from around 2008, roughly.

éS, Rick McCrank pro model. Not all of the colourways were vegan ... from around late 2000s

éS, not sure what this one was called. It looks like a "Square One", but the soles look different ... late 2000s.

Emerica, Andrew Reynolds ... Not all of the colourways were vegan, from around 2010 (very roughly)

éS, Sean Malto (not all of the colourways were vegan) ... from around 2008/2009

Emerica, Ed Templeton pro model called "Transist" (from around 2007/2008; it came out in 2007, I think)

Emerica, Ed Templeton, Transist - same as above

Emerica, Ed Templeton, Transist - same as above

Emerica, Ed Templeton, Transist (collaboration with Fingercroxx) - same as above

Emerica, Ed Templeton, Tempster (2013; also came out in 2013, I think)
